Overview

The Storm Center team is pleased to announce the release of a new feature to enhance the Storm Center map. This release ensures we continue to provide the best possible user experience to you and your customers.

The new feature allows you to add Google Analytics 4 to Storm Center 5 maps, supplementing Google Analytics Universal currently supported by Storm Center 5.

This feature is optional and is disabled by default. To change configuration options to use the new feature, please contact KUBRA. No changes have been made to existing configurations and the new feature maintains full backward compatibility with the existing design.

Support of Google Analytics 4 on Storm Center Maps

KUBRA will begin supporting Google Analytics 4 in Storm Center 5 in addition to the currently supported Google Analytics Universal.

Google has announced that they will stop tracking Google Analytics Universal events in July 2023. To prepare for this, KUBRA began proactively working to ensure Storm Center 5 supports Google Analytics 4 as soon as possible.

We will continue supporting Google Analytics Universal until Google decommissions it completely. To provide our clients with access to the latest technology, we are striving to set up all of our Storm Center 5 clients with Google Analytics 4 by the end of 2022. This will prevent any data loss and the need to export Universal Analytics data to 2023.

Upgrading to Google Analytics 4

To upgrade to Google Analytics 4, please create new Google Analytics 4 Measurement IDs for each Google Analytics Universal tracking code you currently use in Storm Center 5  maps. You can find the steps for this process in the documentation provided by Google here.

Once you have obtained these new measurement IDs, submit them to KUBRA via a support ticket. Please provide a new measurement ID in Google Analytics 4 for both Production and UAT/TEST environments, and all your Public and Internal maps within these environments.

Release Details

Production Date: The new features are available for all Storm Center 5 clients starting October 17, 2022.

Type: Automatic - This update will not disrupt any current implementations. Existing configurations will be maintained.

Notes:

• This update will not affect any items configured for Storm Center maps.
• To start using the new feature, contact KUBRA Support and  provide the new Google Analytics 4 Measurement IDs.
