Overview

The Storm Center team has released a new layout option and a new set of outage location icons for Storm Center maps.

If you would like to convert an existing Storm Center map to use the new layout option or to use the new icon options for outages or Custom Layers, please contact KUBRA support.

This release includes:

• A new layout option that is especially useful when embedding the map within mobile apps, websites, or web applications.
• Minimized map tools to increase map focus on smaller screen sizes.
• New sets of outage icons and updated area shading colors to improve accessibility.
• Access to outage summary reports using a direct URL.

New Features

• New map layout option called Flex layout.
• Support for additional buttons and social media icons in both Classic and Flex map layout options.
• WCAG 2.0 AA compliant icons, area shading colors, and KUBRA-developed map components to provide additional accessibility for users. Third-party libraries such as Google Maps may not be fully compliant.
• New WCAG 2.0 AA compliant icon options for Custom Layers and updated area colors for Custom Layers. The map in the Custom Layers admin app has also been updated to use the new Flex layout.
• Added option to access outage summary reports from a direct URL.
• Improved performance of outage summary reports.
• The header for the Classic Desktop layout has been updated to be more responsive, allowing buttons and social media icons to move to the tool panel when they do not physically fit in the header. This helps the map layout adjust to smaller screen sizes.
