Overview
We continuously work to improve how our clients experience our products. We are excited to announce the beginning of a series of enhancements, happening over the next few quarters, that will improve the overall sign in experience and enhance the security of our products.
At this stage, most of the work will take place in the back end, resulting in only a few changes to how you access KUBRA products today or what you see. Please continue to use your existing usernames and passwords.
Please note: There is no immediate action required on your part with this update.
We are hosting a brief demonstration session for this release. If you cannot attend the live session, please still register, as a recording will be made available afterwards.

What Will This Update Change?
This update will only affect the DocWeb sign in UI at this time, which will see a slightly modified Sign In window. We will notify you of upcoming changes related to other products.
Keeping aligned with current security best practices, we will be applying the following changes to the DocWeb sign in experience:
- Removal of the “Remember my User ID” option (currently in DocWeb)
- Removal of the eight-hour “Keep me signed in” option (currently in DocWeb), which will be replaced with the following automatic settings:
- Two hours of inactivity — Users will be signed out after two hours unless they are active within this period.
- Eight hours signed in — Users will be signed out after eight hours, no matter the activity within this period.
- Replacement of “Forgot Password” with “Reset Password”
- Ability to toggle the visibility of the password field on or off (off by default)

New sign in box for DocWeb only
We are also introducing the following new optional features:
- Multi-factor authentication — Users will be given the option to turn on an extra validation step to increase the security of their account. We suggest all users enable this functionality as it will become mandatory in the near future. MFA can be turned on through your DocWeb > My Account. We will send out more communications advising you of the timelines.
Please note: MFA cannot be turned off after you have activated it. - SSO with third-party IdPs — Included with this update is support for an IdP other than KUBRA (such as a client’s own Active Directory) when accessing our products.
When Will the Update Happen?
This change will take place on September 15, 2020.
