Overview

We continually work to improve how you experience our products. We are excited to announce KUBRA’s latest enhancements to the DocWeb sign-in UI to improve your overall sign-in experience and strengthen the security of our products and your data.

With this release we are adding the following functionality:

  • Support for authenticator apps as a verification method for multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • The ability to switch MFA methods, so users can change their method on their own without reaching out to Client Support

Please note: Users accessing DocWeb using a third-party IDP are not affected by these changes.

Enhancements

Authenticator Apps

To provide a better sign-in experience, we have released support for authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to facilitate MFA. DocWeb users can choose to use either text or an authenticator app to complete their MFA sign-in.

Authenticator apps function in a very similar fashion to text message authentication except that you will be sent your verification code through the authenticator app instead of by text message.

You will continue to have the option to pause MFA for 30 days. This setting will only apply to the device you are currently active on when selecting this option. We only advise this step be taken if you are working on a device that only you have access to.

Please note: MFA will continue to be an optional security measure, however, we strongly recommend users enable this feature.

Changing Your MFA Method

With this update we are also offering the ability to change your method of MFA yourself. At this time, you are able to switch between text and authenticator app. Changing your method of authentication is done in My Profile > My Account, accessed through DocWeb after you have signed in.
